With the revitalization of downtown Jersey City, AVEL AUTOWORKS provides great curbside appeal to our customers. The recently completed renovation of AVEL AUTOWORKS shows our commitment to the future. We have been able to expand in an economy where most shops are just getting by. We accomplished this by providing our customers with high-quality, detail-oriented service backed by our professional staff.
Our Team

The Body Shop employs a shop coordinator and appraiser, repair coordinator, office and insurance coordinator, heavy body men, painter, prep men and helper.
In addition to our body repair team, we employ four full time certified mechanics working in our adjoining mechanical shop.
Our Facility

The shop facilities sit on 32,000 sq ft property and the actual repair area is 7,000 sq. ft. Parking is readily available with a space for 30 cars. In addition, our three secured outside storage facility can accommodate an additional 45 vehicles. We also have two indoor storage facilities to accommodate another 25 vehicles.
The main office is situated in the center of the lot for easy access to the body shop and the mechanical shop. Our main office offers a waiting reception for our customers away from the work place.
We use the CCC Pathways v4.0 for Windows for Estimating system with the digital imaging for accurate and precise estimates. Digital and regular 35mm photo documentation is done on site for estimates and supplement records.
Currently, we take part in the Direct Repair Program for the following insurance companies: Progressive, AIG and NJ Cure. Our participation in these programs have been very positive.
Our State-of-the-art Equipment
The Body shop is equipped with a Black Hawk Power Pro 360 Twin Towers and a Fast Track twin towers uni body straightening machine. Frame measurement is done with the use of a state of the art 3D measuring system "The Touch" for accurate pulls.

All vehicles are refinished in our semi-down draft spray booth. Vehicles are then oven baked in the same booth to ensure long lasting quality finish. We utilize PPG's Delton Paint Mixing and Refinishing System. All are mixed in the premises utilizing the state of the art computerized PPG Access System to ensure proper color match.
Sectioning and welding operations are done with the use of state-of -the art Hirane auto spotter resistance welder to restore factory spot welding. We are currently one of the few shops in Hudson County utilizing this welding system. Augmenting our welding hardware, we also have five Lincoln Electric MIG welding machines.
